Charo Oquet (Dominican Republic, 1952), is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher based in Miami, FL. Through a large range of media and materials, she addresses a multiplicity of narratives in her work, from the visibility and invisibility of colored bodies within a post-colonial space to the cultural and political meanings of geography. Her work has significantly contributed to opening the black universe of Afro-Caribbean cultures to the canonical and institutional history of art.

Xavier Medina

Medina, a native of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, majored in audiovisual communications at the University of Puerto Rico, and later completed his Master of Fine Arts in directing for film at the Savannah College of Art and Design. In 2013 he collaborated as director of photography for an Axe commercial that was awarded the Silver Lion at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, and since then has directed multiple award-winning short films and commercials for brands including Coca-Cola, T-Mobile and Medalla Light. After a 14-year career as an artist/filmmaker, Medina moved to Miami, where he continues to create and collaborate in the film industry as a writer/director, cinematographer and editor. At the moment he is finishing his first feature film, Sunnyland.

Hansel Porras Garcia was born in Pinar del Río, Cuba, on July 20, 1994. He graduated from the National School of Arts in Havana, Cuba, as an Actor; and from the Center for Cinematography, Art and TV (CCAT Miami) with an Associates Degree in TV Production. His short film “Las Ausencias” won the award for Best Male Performance at the Oklahoma Cine Latino Film Festival 2020.

Geraldine Rivera is a Dominican multidisciplinary artist, director and fictional character. Geraldine studied visual communication at Long Island (Farmingdale State College), and then worked in NYC as a graphic designer at a fashion and beauty studio for 2 years. She moved back to Santo Domingo in 2017, where she has focused on working on audiovisual projects. She is currently a freelance creative director, and teaches storytelling and creativity at Chavón, La Escuela de Diseño.

Jochi Muñoz

Independent creator of Performance Art. Born in San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, and currently lives and works in Santo Domingo. Graduated Cum Laude in Industrial Psychology from the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University (UNPHU), and completed the Official Master's Degree in Performing Arts from the Rey Juan Carlos University, Madrid. With training in folk dance, ballet and modern dance, and with higher studies in music. He has taken various courses and workshops in the performing arts and Performance Art areas, and has various publications to his credit. He has participated in numerous national and international festivals. AWARD 25 National Biennial of Visual Arts (2009), and selected in the two subsequent editions. Likewise, artist selected in editions 24 and 25 of the Eduardo León Jimenes Art Contest (2012 and 2014, respectively), Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.

Active member of the Active and Participative People organization (GAY P) has led processes with different organizations working on the issue of education, prevention and human rights, focused on women, adolescents and young people.
